ZAWAFE invites individuals, institutions and companies in the Water, Sanitation and related sectors to present papers, sessions on their work in Zambia and abroad, panel discussions and showcase their skills and knowledge in the forum in order to reach out not only to the Zambian populace but also a wider audience comprised of delegates from all over the world. In a quest to achieve the Vision 2030, through this platform, you will be able to share best practices on water management and address a number of issues pertaining to the attainment of SDG 6 - Clean water and Sanitation, investments required to meet the aspirations of the 8th National Plan, Zambia water investment programme 2022-2030 and Vision 2030. 

During the forum, various topical issues pertaining to closing the gap in the Water and Sanitation sector in Zambia, the region and abroad as well as a number of challenges and solutions will be discussed in line with the 2024 ZAWAFE theme. Therefore, the ZAWAFE Steering Committee now Calls for papers in line with the theme and sub-themes by the set deadline 31st March 2024

The 9th Zambia Water Forum and Exhibition (ZAWAFE) held on the 7th and 8th June 2021 at Mulungushi International Conference Center was the first ever hybrid forum with participants from all around the world, providing and giving world class presentations both virtually and physically, with significant and purposeful involvement from viewers.

 

The Vice President of Zambia, her honour, Madam Inonge Mutukwa Wina, who is also Patron of ZAWAFE, graced the forum as the guest of honour with an outstanding keynote speech concerning the enhancement of water and sanitation in Zambia in line with the 7th National Development plan.

 

Unfortunately, exhibitions were unable to be had at the 9th ZAWAFE, due to COVID-19, restrictions however, this did not detriment the response and support from participants and presenters.

The ZAWAFE Secretariat, through the Chairperson, Prof. Imasiku Nyambe, appreciate her honour the Vice President of Zambia, Madam Inonge Mutukwa Wina for the continued support and assistance of the Office of the Vice President.
